A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a combination of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn, distinguished by a red ring on the latter. The former should screw into a cut thread of a workpiece by hand without excessive force. If not, the thread does not meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The latter can only screw in up to two turns by hand. If it goes further, the thread is considered subpar. All parts and tools are calibrated at a reference temperature of 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a Werkskalibrierschein upon request, with independent lab calibration following DIN, ISO, and ANSI standards on IAC-Gewindescanner.
